The YOUSITT Workshops.
There are three practical YOUSITT workshops. Each is designed to bring different elements of the YOUSITT programme to the fore. This is a great way to experience YOUSITT first hand from its creator, John Rowe. This workshop series is suitable for anyone interested in finding out what YOUSITT has to offer.
Workshop 1 is a practical introduction to the theories and techniqes covered in the first section of John's book The YOUSITT Momentum. We include the following:
-
The coach as the inspiration
-
The technique of momentum creation
-
Avoiding irony and hypocrisy
-
Working with natural patterning
-
How to use empathy
-
The importance of context
-
Seamless identification with the goal
-
The two pathways to success
-
Maintaining impetus between the coaching sessions
(Please note that althought visualisation appears in the first section of the book, it is covered in the second workshop.)
Workshop 3 is the natural progression from workshops 1 & 2. Here we explore the more subtle elements of YOUSITT coaching found in the third 'Summer Term' section of the book:
-
Levels of genuiness and superficiality
-
The language of momentum creation
-
Achieving spontaneous coaching
-
The value of anticipation
-
The purpose of evaluation
-
Surviving assessment
(To get the most out of this day, participants should have completed the previous two workshops.)
Workshop 2 is a practical exploration of the methodologies found in section 2 'Spring Term' of the book. This workshop includes:
-
The purpose of visualisation, and how to make it work
-
Removing perceived limitations
-
The value of working without tension
-
Why meditation is essential
-
Introduction to the meditation technique
-
Working in the persona of the parent, the adult, and the child
-
The use of the breath
(It is strongly advised that you take the first workshop before moving onto the second.)
